Securitize has expanded its regulated platform after its subsidiary Securitize Capital LLC registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as an investment adviser, the company announced Monday.

The move strengthens the tokenization-focused company’s ability to support institutional investors and asset managers developing onchain portfolio strategies, CEO Carlos Domingo said.
“Asset managers and institutional investors want to work with partners that understand both the opportunity of tokenization and the obligations that come with operating in regulated markets,” Domingo noted.
With the addition of Securitize Capital’s advisory registration, Securitize’s US platform now combines investment advisory services with broker-dealer, ATS, transfer agent and fund administration capabilities. The company said the expanded framework comes as regulators examine how traditional investment adviser rules may apply to emerging crypto investment products.
