Bitget Wallet has launched a World Cup prediction market initiative with Polymarket, bringing tournament related markets to its 90 million users as sports driven onchain activity accelerates ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The initiative extends Bitget Wallet’s existing Polymarket integration and uses the World Cup as a mainstream entry point for self custodial crypto products. The 2026 tournament, jointly hosted by the US, Mexico, and Canada, will feature 48 teams, 104 matches, and a 39 day schedule.
Polymarket’s 2026 FIFA World Cup winner market has already crossed $1.2 billion in total trading volume and more than $280 million in liquidity, with daily activity routinely reaching nearly $30 million.

Bitget Wallet’s campaign includes a $200,000 prize pool across several World Cup themed activations, including champion picks, recurring prediction activity, and community watch parties. The company said the initiative is designed to make onchain markets easier to access from mobile wallets while turning major global events into more interactive crypto experiences.
The launch builds on Bitget Wallet’s broader push into prediction markets. Its Polymarket integration includes AI assisted event analysis, smart money tracking, market discovery, and mobile first execution from a self custodial wallet.
Bitget Wallet said it has also upgraded its prediction market infrastructure to support high frequency activity during live match cycles. The upgrades include a dedicated event data layer, score and pricing checks, real time monitoring, and scalable cloud architecture for traffic spikes.
Alvin Kan, COO at Bitget Wallet, said prediction markets are becoming a new way for people to engage with global events, adding that wallets are positioned to become the access layer for emerging onchain financial behavior.
Elden Mirzoian, director of growth and partnerships at Polymarket, said the World Cup is one of the biggest moments in global sports and that the partnership gives fans another way to engage with the tournament.
