Ripple (XRP) Is Entering the Field That Has Become Very Hot Recently

Ripple Prime, Ripple’s institutional brokerage unit, has launched perpetual swap trading for real-world assets ranging from stocks to metals. The products, announced today, reference perpetual futures contracts listed on Hyperliquid by Trade.xyz.

The new service covers more than 100 reference markets, including stocks, indices, ETFs, metals, energy, and forex. Ripple stated that transactions and exchanges can be conducted 24/7, including weekends.

According to the company’s statement, market maker Virtu is among the institutional clients that have begun using the products. In transactions, the counterparty to the contract is Ripple Prime, and the value of the swaps is tied to the relevant contracts in Hyperliquid.

Clients can use Ripple’s dollar stablecoin RLUSD as collateral, depending on eligibility requirements in their jurisdiction. Collateral needs for positions in different asset classes can also be evaluated within the same portfolio.

The products provide access to price movements through derivative contracts, rather than directly purchasing the underlying stock or commodity. Ripple announced that it initially offered the service under a CIV BVI license and plans to expand to more regions, but did not give a specific date for the new regions.
