If Bitcoin Drops Again, at What Level Will It Stabilize? Analysts Weigh In

CryptoQuant, a cryptocurrency analysis platform, examined Bitcoin’s (BTC) price corrections during past bull markets to assess the potential decline in the current market, comparing it to historical data. Analysts highlighted the $80,000 level for Bitcoin, while noting that in the event of a drop, the $74,000-$75,000 range could be a significant buying zone.

The analysis shared by CryptoQuant used the Bitcoin Bull Cycle Price Corrections indicator, which measures how far Bitcoin has retreated from its peaks in past bull cycles. Accordingly, the average price corrections seen in past bull markets occurred as follows:

  • 2010-2011: 18.41%
  • 2011-2013: 21.71%
  • 2015-2017: 10.93%
  • 2018-2021: 19.39%
  • 2022-2025: 7.58%

CryptoQuant reported a general historical average decline rate of 14.39% for the past five bull cycles. However, it was emphasized that much sharper corrections occurred in some periods, and that the most recent bull cycle saw more limited pullbacks compared to previous periods.

Bitcoin’s $74,500 Level Comes to the Fore.

The analysis stated that Bitcoin lost approximately 7.61% of its value, from its peak of $87,027 on October 5th to its low of $80,404 recorded on October 9th.

It was noted that this decline is almost the same magnitude as the average correction of 7.58% during the 2022-2025 period, but remains below the historical average of 14.39%.

According to CryptoQuant, applying the historical average rate of decline to the recent peak of $87,027 points to a price level of approximately $74,500 for Bitcoin. Analysts noted that this region could be considered a significant reference point if selling pressure continues.

On the other hand, the fact that price corrections in recent bull cycles have been more limited compared to the past does not necessarily mean that Bitcoin will fall back to that level.

CryptoQuant analysts stated that, based on current data, investors could consider gradually accumulating Bitcoin around $80,000, but if the price drops to the $74,000-$75,000 range, the amount they would buy could be increased more aggressively.
