Blockchain-based settlement layer AEON announced that it has added support for Bittensor’s native token, $TAO. This would enable AI-native payments, autonomous commerce, and real-world spending.
AEON’s vision for the agentic economy should enable the AI-native $TAO to power autonomous economic activity.
The announcement has not had an immediately bullish effect on the token. It has not yet demonstrated usage or merchant adoption. The long-term impact will depend on whether the integration drives meaningful user activity, merchant adoption, and on-chain demand for $TAO.
$TAO crypto bulls are unable to boost themselves off a key support zone

On the 1-day chart, a bullish structure was in place. The 78.6% Fibonacci retracement level is key to both bulls and bears. It should be noted that the altcoin was trading within a higher timeframe range, and recovery from the $160 area remains a possibility.
Yet, the volume indicators showed mixed signals. The trading volume was low, compared to the burst of activity in June or April. The OBV and A/D indicators captured this trait by staying flat.
On the other hand, the CMF was climbing higher, but without above-average volume, buying pressure signaled by the CMF alone was not a strong indication.
Neither did the DMI show a strong trend in progress, with both the -DI and +DI [red and green] moving below the 20 threshold.
Overhead liquidations threaten a $TAO rally

A price bounce from $194 and back toward $330 and $370 is expected, based on the price action alone. The volume trends do not yet support this bullish idea, and neither does the liquidation map.
The map showed heavy clusters of high-leverage short liquidations just above $200. Moreover, the cumulative short liquidation leverage meant that $TAO crypto is likely to be pulled higher to trigger these liquidations before continuing to fall lower due to a lack of demand.
In other words, traders need to watch out for an inorganic, liquidation-hunt type of rally in the coming days. Until buying volume improves, traders may want to treat any liquidity-driven rally with caution rather than assuming a broader trend reversal is underway.
Final Summary
- AEON support gives AI-native $TAO a route to payments and commerce workflows associated with agentic activity.
- This announcement has not demonstrated usage and merchant adoption, and did not result in a noticeable bullish price uptick.
