A partnership between JPMorgan Chase and Miami-based firm Consulting IQ is set to reshape the landscape for small and midsize businesses (SMBs), providing them with access to high-level strategic consulting tools powered by artificial intelligence.
The platform offers SMBs a wide range of capabilities—from developing strategies in sales, marketing, and finance, to predictive analytics, industry-specific key performance indicators, and real-time economic scenario comparisons.
"Most of these businesses can't afford traditional consultants. Our solution delivers the same quality of advice, blending AI with real human experts who validate every response," said Diego Medone, founder and CEO of Consulting IQ.
Through a strategic alliance, JPMorgan Chase has become an operational partner for Consulting IQ—though the relationship extends far beyond logistics. Leveraging their global reach, the companies are developing initiatives to support the bank's entire ecosystem, including its own businesses and clients.
With many SMBs in its portfolio, JPMorgan Chase sees this as a way to offer added value. Consulting IQ acts as a 24/7 strategic business consultant for those clients, Medone told the Miami Herald.
The platform helps businesses protect core operations, expand intelligently, and operate more efficiently.
Medone emphasized that of the world's 400 million businesses, 99% are small or midsize—and 65% are at risk of failing within their first five years.
Consulting IQ aims to solve this problem by offering affordable consulting services. Traditional consulting can cost between $500 and $2,000 an hour—out of reach for many SMBs.
The platform combines AI, data-driven tools, and predictive analytics, with oversight from human consultants to ensure advice is relevant and impactful, Medone said.
Unlike generic AI systems, Consulting IQ was built specifically to address business challenges identified in thousands of interviews with entrepreneurs around the globe.
AI across all business functions
Consulting IQ provides advice in all key business areas: strategy, sales, marketing, process improvement, taxes, regulatory compliance, and hiring. It is multilingual, supporting English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, German, and more. It also features multi-conversational memory, allowing users to build upon previous sessions.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, the platform provides a roadmap—from evaluating whether an idea is viable and profitable, to determining the necessary steps and legal requirements to operate in specific markets, and how to successfully execute the business plan.
The platform has already been used by businesses around the world, including South Florida entrepreneurs. One reported a 60% increase in sales within four months, while another saved 30 hours per week on decision-making processes, according to Medone.

A business born from crisis
Medone got the idea during the COVID-19 pandemic, after noticing a wave of small business closures. He envisioned offering SMBs access to the same level of strategic guidance as large corporations—at a fraction of the cost.
"With more than 15 years of experience working with artificial intelligence, we first wanted to verify the scale of the issue. As I mentioned, 65% of these companies are at risk of disappearing," he said.
After conducting interviews and confirming the lack of support for SMBs, the company committed to developing a scalable, intuitive, and cost-effective strategic consulting platform tailored for small business needs.
"What drove us," Medone said, "was the desire to help these companies survive and thrive—giving them access to insights that were once reserved for just a few."
