Nintendo is delaying US Swap 2 pre-orders in response to the sweeping tariffs introduced by President Donald Trump earlier this week, studies Polygon. As of Nintendo's announcement of the console on Wednesday, pre-orders in america had been scheduled to open on April 9. They're now delayed indefinitely.
"Pre-orders for Nintendo Swap 2 within the US is not going to begin April 9, 2025 so as to assess the potential influence of tariffs and evolving market situations," the corporate advised Polygon. "Nintendo will replace timing at a later date. The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged."
Nintendo didn’t instantly reply to Engadget's remark request.
